I can see God already working in my heart and in my spirit. The time here at training camp has really impacted my relationship with the Lord. I long to know Him deeper and more fully than I ever did before. I just want to know more and more. I can’t get enough of Him. I look forward to worshiping Him every day and I’m so thirsty for Him. I’m eager to listen to every session and learn more about Him, what He’s done, and His character. I don’t want to just know about God. I want to know Him. I want Him to be my companion in life.
Something that we’ve been learning a lot about is the importance of unity and community. Jesus desires all His children to be united, however Satan desires us to be divided. Jesus doesn’t ask us to agree with each others opinions and beliefs He simply asked us for unity. Being unified doesn’t mean that we agree with each other on every little thing all the time, it simply means that we love each other in spite of our differences in opinions and beliefs. If we are divided we can’t spread the gospel and we quite frankly can’t show others the love of Jesus. If we are arguing amongst ourselves and disrespecting each other no one is going to want to listen to anything we have to say.
There are many different denominations and people of different backgrounds here, but we are called to come together and set aside our differences for one common purpose. That is to tell others the good news of Jesus Christ and His love for His children. It’s really such a beautiful thing seeing God’s people coming together to proclaim the gospel.
Another thing that’s been revealed to me is that God is the only thing that we can hold onto. When we have absolutely nothing we still have God, which is more than enough! He will never leave us or forsake us. Even though I miss my family so so much I know that I’m never alone. God is right there with me. It brings me so much comfort in knowing that my Heavenly Father cares for me and He loves me beyond measure and imagination.
I can’t believe we’re flying out this Tuesday! Keep my team and I in your prayers! As my team and I embark on this journey please pray that God gives us boldness to proclaim His name, that we all would learn to lean on Him, and that our faith wouldn’t be shaken instead it would be strengthened and unshakable.
